colabs is in cancun! and what better way to celebrate than with a bought of droneage, this time hovering over the gran cenote.

cenote? huh? what’s that? a cenote is a pool of water birthed from sinkholes of limestone bedrock. the bulk of these bad boys can be found in the yucatan peninsula, and were seen by the mayan people as choice locations for sacrificial ceremonies. while centoes can occur naturally, scientists have discovered the mass quantity in the yucatan were created by a falling meteor… and not just any meteor, but the one that wiped out the dinosaurs and caused the last mass extinction. so it makes sense that the mayans might think these water holes might possess some magical properties, and the real question becomes… why don’t we?
